Specific
Compentencies
The project has come up with substantive and helpful
definitions of these concepts. Thus it defines "learning
outcomes" as "statements of what a learner is expected to know,
understand and/or be able to demonstrate after completion of
learning. Learning outcomes specify the requirements for award
of credit" (Tuning 2007, p. 3). "Competences"' are defined as
"a dynamic combination of knowledge, understanding, skills, and
abilities. Fostering competences is the object of educational
programmes. Competences will be formed in various course units
and assessed at different stages."
