What learners want
  
    The challenges to learning institutions are formidable, not
    least to learner-based institutions. Educators want learners to
    know more or less what they know, or what they had to learn.
    Learners want to learn what they need. A more limited subset
    want to learn "what there is to learn," for its own sake.
    Finding the productive, interactive modality between those
    mandates is the challenge.
