There is a lot of history in this area (really all of Virginia). Jamestown was the first British colony and it was tough. It was interesting in how the native people interacted with them, first kindly but soon as enemies. You learned a little bit about how they govern themselves and what they hoped for in this New World.
Battlefields are hard for me, Yorktown was no different. There were earthworks that were 250 years old but it was still hard for me to imagine. The bottom line is that the American Revolution was totally enabled by the French.
