Northampton
As a continuation of the "birthday month" we took the van to Northampton. We went to a concert at the Academy of Music and saw Matt Nathason. I'd never heard of this guy but the crowd seemed to know his music. I say he was kind of "pop" but on the whole had a lot of energy and it was a good concert. We sat in a balcony seat overlooking the stage.
We spent the night in a vacant lot owned by a gym (HarvestHost) but we were the only ones there. It was about 18º so we ran the heater all night. We walked around the town the next day and went to the Smith Art Gallery. I think it is one of the benefits of going to a school like Smith that they have such wonder art right on campus.
