Hi Brian, the price for the work at your house is $18,500. The price includes paint and materials. I will clean the trim where it is needed. 1 coat of polyurethane on all the trim. That also includes the bottom of the kitchen cabinets. They will need 3 coats of polyurethane. Patch and paint walls and ceilings. 2 coats on walls and ceiling. I was feeling kind of lethargic so I decided to take on refinishing
the deck myself. I had tried to use a stripper on the deck last fall
but it didn't work very well. I had a belt sander so I sanded one board
and then wet it so I could get and idea as to what it might look like.
The image to the left is what the finished product might look like.
We'll see. It's just knotty cedar so it won't ever look great but...

It's hard work to sand on you hands and knees. I started with a belt sander and while it worked I kept breaking the sanding belts. I ended up buying a Dewalt angle grinder. The photo to the left is not very good. The boards look better than the picture. I'll post one when every thing is bleached.
